About Me
My name is Christopher Moravec, currently I am the Director of Software Development at G2 Integrated Solutions. We focus on building great applications for our users focusing on GIS and related processes. At work I focus mainly on software architecture and design but I spend as much time as I can writing code and building tests with my team. My technical background includes Python, Server Architecture, Server Design, Server Planning, GIS Applications, Work Process Engineering, T-SQL, PL/SQL, C#, Mobile Development, and more ArcGIS than should be allowed!
My team and I also won the Esri International Developer Hackathon in 2013 and 2014.
After graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2008, I started my career at Eagle Information Mapping as a Software Developer. I developed several Python, T-SQL and PL/SQL tools that became commercial products and laid the groundwork for more automated processes that I later built. I eventually ran the software team at Eagle before we joined the G2 team.
I have also been heavily involved in the PODS data model in the past, helping to manage the 6.0 release as well as several rounds of minor enhancements.
In my free time I enjoy researching and learning new technologies, tinkering with gadgets and working on community projects. Ever since I was a little kid I have been fascinated with airplanes which led to me obtaining my Private Pilot Certificate in 2014.
